Dunafon Castle, Idledale, CO
Our groom is everyone's favorite vegan chef, big brother, trivia teammate, and pet voice narrator!
Our bride is none other than the one and only Annabonanza - a green chile-eating, animal-loving, big-hearted spreadsheet aficionado.
We know you will be traveling from far and wide for our celebration, so we'd love to welcome you at a casual local brewery when you arrive. Wear casual and comfy attire!
A venue close to our hearts, home, and favorite hikes and memories, please come dressed in dressy mountain casual with shoes that can walk on grass!
Nearby accommodations are limited so please book soon! We have reserved lots of cabins in the area, and they are all pretty unique so we've put them into categories for you below!
We will have shuttles and carpools from the reserved cabins and Comfort Suites only. If you book elsewhere, please arrange transport other than Uber/Lyft because we're in the boonies!
Let us know if you're willing to share a two bedroom cabin with another friend or group who's attending the wedding!

We do not have a room block or reserved rooms here so please book as soon as possible! There *will* be a shuttle from this hotel to the venue.
These will likely fill up because of a rodeo happening the same weekend... Please book before they disappear!
Please get a rental car or plan on carpooling for these locations because the shuttle can't service these locations.
We will be treating ourselves to a fancy cabin, so if you are looking for a free place to stay with feline companionship and a chance to meet other guests, please stay at our house in Kittredge, or camp on the property! We have 4 double beds and our chaos canines will be staying elsewhere.
We have a wonderful and generous family friend who lives in Genesee, CO (just one exit down I-70 from Evergreen and the Comfort Suites) and has two guest bedrooms and two very friendly labradors. Big thank you to our friend!
We know these options are limited and pricey! But we don't want that to be the reason you can't join us. Please reach out if you'd like a little help finding something in your budget!
We will have shuttles to the big event from the hotels and cabins above! Please plan on taking the shuttle if you're staying at the Comfort Suites, Alpen Way, Highland Haven, or Country Cabins.
There is very limited parking at the venue! We encourage our Denver locals to carpool or park at the Comfort Suites (29300 U.S. Hwy 40, Evergreen, CO 80439) and ride the shuttle too. If you want to drive directly to the venue and park, plan on arriving early as there is no walkable backup lot!
Uber/Lyft aren't going to be super reliable near the venue and accommodations! We are in a rural area and we might have spotty reception at the venue and very few carshare drivers nearby.
Please let us know if you want to be added to a carpooling WhatsApp group for the weekend. We'd love to save guests the expense of booking a rental car. So if you'll need rides or if you're willing to share your ride with others, Email anneanddan25@gmail.com and we will connect you all.
Don't trust Google Maps directions to Dunafon Castle! The turn off to the wedding venue is a few hundred feet from where it is on Google Maps it's a frequently missed turn. Please keep an eye out for the sign if you're driving in.
We can't believe it's been 6 years together already! We are so thankful for all the great moments along the way, especially those shared with our amazing friends and family.
We met in 2019, as so many couples these days do, through the apps. Dan lured Anne in with a pirate joke, Anne lured Dan in with a cute picture of her not so friendly dog Bear. Dan obliviously suggested a first date on Valentine's Day, and Anne gently suggested the day after instead.
Our first year together was marked with real-world travel and adventure: our first weekend trip to romantic Salt Lake City, live music at Red Rocks, hikes and camping around Colorado, Dan's introduction to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Thanksgiving in New York, and a getaway to Hawaii mere days before Covid lockdown...
The following year(s) quarantined together were make-or-break for our relationship, settling into our first house with our growing four-legged family. Luckily, no puny coronavirus could break us, and we found fun in the little things in life: weekend hikes and camping trips, experimenting with vegan cooking, trying our best at new hobbies from biking to woodworking to urban gardening, and fostering dogs (sometimes "successfully" and other times failing in the best way possible: yay, Ullie!).
As the world opened up again, our adventures did too, most notably with two trips to Kenya, cross-country road trips to each coast in the "Chaos Caboose," and lots of wedding celebrations for friends and family. Dan and Anne both went through job transitions, Anne's cat Strudel gradually decided that she was Dan's cat, and Ullie and Riley continued to welcome/tolerate sharing their pawrents with foster and boarding pups.
Despite becoming quite the fan of true crime and mysteries in her free time, Anne was easily kidnapped and fooled by Dan's engagement coverup plan. He said that we were visiting some friends in Lakewood, but when we were 20+ miles past Lakewood in the valley of Lair o' The Bear park, it became apparent that Dan had a special question to ask. The answer was obviously yes!
After pet sitting in the mountains one too many times, we started dreaming of living farther out of town with enough space to have a "dog ranch" and beauty to spend the rest of our lives. After lots of waiting and shopping for the right place, we made the move to Kittredge, CO. Just 5 minutes from where we're getting married and 8 minutes from where we got engaged! We are ecstatic and beyond grateful to call this our forever home.
